I was able to track down Chachi and catch him at his house. My heart
skipped when he let me into his living room. I realized I forgot all my
questions and my micro-cassette recorder. I somehow pulled it off and
from what I remember it went like this. I walked in and it was Chachi
and his girlfriend, Cari and sadie the pit-bull. We talked about stuff
that wasn't important enough to remember for a while. Then he told me
that he worked on the docks and he tries not to smoke weed before he goes.
He expressed his disappointment towards the new drummer Jimmy for holding
them back from going on tours anytime soon. Oh, He told me about a summer
tour planed with the Fleshies and maybe D4. Chachi told me that he was
27 years young. We talked about the gang problem in Pedro and he just
thinks they are knuckleheads that never really bug him that much. He lives
on Gaffey. We talked about the possibility of Todd maybe being gay but
Chachi said that Todd likes chicks mostly. And then I started to get all
nervous because Cari was taking a shower and she is really hot and all
I could think about was Chachi and her doing it! We talked about his fake
name, "Chachi" and he likes it. His real name is Salvatori or
so I have heard. Then Chachi dropped the bomb on me. He told me that when
he was 5 or 6 years old his mom took him to go see the Minutemen in down
town LA! Is this guy cool or what? His mom is down with Hurly! He said
he could hardly remember it but he was there. Chachi had to work the docks
so I had to leave.
