Release parties galore! April 25th 2006
Hay, Heres some bitchin' TTK news .
Our new album called "shanked!" will be out may 9th. Not only will the copies will be available on time for this release date i might even do a preorder thing on the Recess site on the 1st of may. Thats a first for me! Wait! i dont have em yet so the curse might still be lingering. As usual the first 300 LP's will be on colored wax.

On May 19th we will have a record release party for Shanked at Harolds with MIKE WATT and SWING DING AMIGOS. You will be able to get the LP or CD for for $5 there.
We will also do a Nor Cal record release show at Gilman st on June 9th. It will also,or mainly be THE FLESHIES record release show. Cant wait!

Another record release show?! Yea...This time it's a Recess party at The Echo in Echo park,ca on june 18th to celebrate the 100th Recess release. That release is F.Y.P-5 year plan LP/CD. This is mainly the demos for out last album that i think sound pretty damn neat. TOYS THAT KILL will "cover" a few F.Y.P songs. ha! Dont say "reunion"! Say "cover band". Anyways this will be an all ages (bar still open though) thing starting at 5pm and ends at 9pm. BBQ in the back patio! MIKE WATT will, again, be gracing us with his band. Speaking of Watt, he just invited me on his 100th The Watt From Pedro radio show (www.twfps.com) to play some Recess stuff. Go to it and subscribe to his and Brother Matts Podcast.

We will do a short tour in july, hitting up some of our funnest places: mpls,chicago, pix fest, pierre and total fest. The dates are posted. We will be on the slow end of the tour mode for awhile so please try to make it out.

Also, me, jimmy and the two jacks have a new side thing going on called THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD TO CANDYLAND and were stoked to be playing with THE BANANAS this friday (4/28) @ Harolds in san pedro (19th and pacific ave). Only 2 practices under out belt so get out yer hecklin' sticks! Anaheim's gonna represent with THEE MAKEOUT PARTY and THE LIPSTICK PICKUPS! it starts @ 9 sharp.

This is also the record release party for the vinyl version of THE BANANAS first cd-forbidden fruit (recess..96). i hope i get the records back from the plant!

I AM A IDIOT...Sept 10th
... When it comes to updating this here damn site! Lotsa stuff has came and went and i wouldnt even know where to start or stop. Some of you caught the premiere of A.S.S.S.S.C.A.T. on Bravo the other night where we did all the music for. Well they are playing the crap outta it on the Bravo network in the next week or so. Its kinda funny and strange to hear our obnoxious voices and then instantly going into The West Wing.
Recording?!?! YES! We are headed back to Sweatbox studios in Austin, Tx to record about 20-25 songs. Our plan was to get out there in OCT but it looks like we might hafta postpone it to NOV due to us not having the fundage. Speaking of that we are doing a Birthday party slash Recording money raising show @ Harolds in san pedro this friday (sept 16th). Its Flipys birthday! So come out if you want us to do another record and/or kinda like flipy. oki now bye ye!

I don't know why but the guys in Toy That Kill don't really like or respect me as a writer or a friend. I had to do this interview by finding them wherever and whenever I could. I set out to get the real thing by asking the tough questions and I got more than I could damn well chew. To prepare for this interview I read every Scam zine and I learned a few things about the punk mind. I drank like a fish in the dirtiest dirt until it felt glorious. A real "gutter ballet", just like that old MEATLOAF song talked about. Finally, after convincing everyone that my parents weren't wealthy I felt I was ready.
