Halo, were back from touring,not so briefly this time. First off,thanx to everyone wo helped make our last tour awesome-like! The Fest 3 was too much fun. Our next jaunt will be Europe in march of 2005! It will cover across northern Europe. Culminating with a headlining appearance at the Winter Rumble in Belgium. Halo, were back from touring,briefly. Our west coast adventure was great! tons of camping & frisbee... oh and good shows too! thanx lots to Berzerk and Half-pint from Rivethead for cold chillin. We got invited to play The Fest 3 in Gainsville,fl so were making a tour outta it. anyone with nothing to do halloween weekend should hop on a GD bus and get your ass down there as tons of GREAT bands are playing.
After this oct tour we plan on staying around for a few months and work on new songs. we got alot. We have a buncha Ep's we have committed to doing,like for DIRTNAP RECORDS * TAPES RECORDS (ian from JAPATHERS LABEL) and a buncha other stuff like the D4 split. Nothing is concrete right now,more like Tupperware,but i'm thinkin we might even do a new LP soon...but first things first.

JUNE tour rocked balls! June 28th
Thanx lots to everyone who helped salvage our last minute june tour. It was the first tour weve ever been on (including the FYP tours!) that EVERY show was fun. Maybe i'll book all of our tours one week before we leave?? hmmm.

WIERDNESS with june tour?! May 25th
WHOA! alotta wierdness with the TOYS THAT KILL june tour?! Heres the scoop: First THE BANANAS cancelled the whole thing,including the PIX fest. Then THIS BIKE IS A PIPE BOMB cancelled the west coast part due to van trouble-age. They WILL make the PIX fest though.
Thanx to Half-Pint from RIVETHEAD,the toys that kill will now do an extensive Twin Cities tour on the way to the PIX Fest. The dates are up! check it here

...and of course the july tour with THE FLESHIES is in the works and should be posted ascrap. Oh yea DILLINGER FOUR will only be doing the midwest part.
I'm so glad we had a chance to clear this all up & squash the frikken beef.

Toys That Kill had a great time in japan! thanx to everyone especially Hiro,Chiba,Fumika,Katamon,Rob, and the No people! dude, they just do things better over there like transportation,commercials,sound,shows, etc etc without raising their number one fingers. they dont exaggerate how long it'll take to get to their house and then run a red light forgetting that they have a fucked up van following them. to a dumb american like me it seems as though they dont even know how to bullshit nor have the ambition to learn how to bullshit. i wish that wasnt the typical american ambition, but then again its so much easier to just blame everything on Bush.

Toys that kill album entitled "control the sun" will be out June 17th!! 15 songs recorded once again @ sweatbox studio in Austin,TX w/ Mike Vasquez. Everything turned out great and we cant wait for this to come out! The LP will be a limited Picture disc hidden in an LP jacket with a lyric poster. The CD will be packaged in a digipak with poster. classy not assy!

Were back from tour. it went great! well except for the fact that we lost our van,or chachi's van more like, and i got "scalped" by some dumb ass rednecks. by "dumb ass" i mean dumb enough to point out where they lived right before they assaulted me for no reason. besides all that the tour went fucking good!! real good! D4 were great everynight and thats a tall order to fill. Also Mike, tour code name "JIMMY", who drummed on the second leg rocked and was a good all around dude!
OKI heres our plans,which dont mean it'll happen this way but maybe,
1) we wanna start practicing the new songs we have and sorta stay away from the live thing until lke december or something. we do have 1 show @ juvee in LA on nov 10th as well as one or two pedro house partys but besides that we wont be playing too much.
2) record @ sweatbox in march: mainly for a new album but we also have a split 7" with the fleshies & a split 12" with D4 in the works too!!
3) BRAZIL!: yes we have plans to get out there and play for a week or two as well as laja records releasing a brazilian version of the critically aclaimed (hee haw,always wanted to say that)"citizen abortion". we are thinking sometime in the spring of 2003 for that.
4) JAPAN!

Razorcake magazine has planted TOYS THAT KILL on their 7th issues cover! we are discombobulated over this cos,in my opinion, razorcake is one of the best punk music related fanzines being published right now. Todd taylor and Sean carswell are true fans of a wide variety of music and have not the time to classify themselves under any stupid genre. Just read todd's intro for the whole issue and you will know what i mean. it should be common sense but it's far from it nowadays,so that makes them a rare breed in music today. Plus theyre hell of great writers to boot! you can get a copy thru here on the recess site or thru Razorcake's site.

we got back from tour in one peice,with no help from that damn deer that jumped in front of our van while going 80mph! no shit. yea tour was super fun,no major disasters and only a few dud shows,which were fun anyways so fuck it. our new drummer ,troy,worked out great and we cant wait to go out again (which we plan to do from oct.20 thru nov.20th,thru az,tx,the south,florida,eat coast.the middle,colorado etc). we got to play with some great bands and thanx lots to everyone that helped with shows,let us stay over,etc etc. i will have a tour diary of some sort up here soon.

the album is out and seems to be doing good. the responses have been real flattering. this was something that i wouldve been happy just if our friends liked it,but it seems to have gone passed that level already,so dagnab its all good aint it?

most of you insiders already know that denis fleps,drummer boy etxra ordinairre',left the band on the pursuit of life. something the rest of the toys know not. so enter drummer boy troy. he came to save the day for our upcoming tour (we leave thursday night from san pedro to texarkana straight!!) sorry we had to cancel the first week of tour as it was out of our control. our plans to make it up in the fall seem to be on the up & up,we'll see. if it happens,we will hit the east coast also,as well as the florida part. maybe i'll get another 500 pound skinhead to tango with again? perhaps? anyone? i gotta cut it short cos of too many pre-tour chores to do.damage!

aside from the june 19th LP/CD there will also be a split 7" w/ the ragin hormones on stardumb records, both from good ol' amsterdam. our side will have 2 songs from "the citizen abortion" sessions that arent gonna be on the full length. we will have copies available at the recess online store as well as stardumb.out in july.

CRAP! ok well i havent updated this site since febuary cos my modem got filled with crap and stopped working. well you know what they say...excuses are for birds,cos they fly away and go "chirp" so onto the news...

record we finished recording our album in march out in austin,tx at sweatbox studios and everyone was totally happy with the way it turned out. its the best thing ive been involved with! mike at sweatbox didnt shoot down one crazy idea that we had,he actually encouraged it. the album is called "the citizen abortion" (recess#73 LP/CD) and will be out on june 19th 2001 . tell a friend as we at recess have barely any money to advertise it. also look for an mp3 from it in the next week.

shows there will be a coupla record release partys,mainly in nogales mexico(june 15th)and upland,ca(june 22 or 23)and were trying to get one in san pedro but that might be a tall order.

recording plans for recording are not concrete as of now but there is talk of going into the studio in december to record a full length and a crapload of 7"singles,due out spring 2001 (hopefully)
